We are seeking an experienced In-House Legal Lead with 4–6 years of experience in an IT company’s legal team to strengthen our legal framework. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, along with expertise in data privacy, IP management, and HR/labor matters. **About the Role:** - He/she should be able to provide independent legal advice on critical organizational matters, including HR & labor compliance, intellectual property management, data privacy, insurance coverage, and regulatory requirements - The candidate will serve as a strategic partner across delivery, finance, security, and executive teams, driving contract closure and risk mitigation - The role involves building efficient legal operations, developing policies, and working with a small legal team with a focus on scalability and governance - Prior in-house legal experience in a tech or IT environment is mandatory **Responsibilities:** - Draft, review and redline various agreements, such as NDAs, MSAs, Job Orders, Data Security Agreements, etc. - Lead contract negotiations with external legal counsel from clients, vendors, and partners to ensure timely and favorable closure - Serve as a key legal liaison across internal functions, including Finance, Delivery, Security, HR, and Executive Leadership to align legal terms with business objectives - Provide independent legal advice on critical organisational matters, including HR & labour compliance, intellectual property management, data privacy, insurance coverage, and regulatory requirements - Develop, review, and implement internal company policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks to strengthen governances - Design and optimize legal operations by introducing scalable processes, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround time - Play a strategic role in Enterprise Risk Management by collaborating across functions to identify, assess, and mitigate legal and compliance risks - Mentor a small legal team; manage performance, resolve escalations, and foster a collaborative work culture - Act as a bridge between Legal leadership and operational teams to ensure alignment, transparency, and timely decision-making - Prior In-House Legal experience in an IT company is a must **Qualifications:** 4–6 years of experience in an IT company’s legal team **Required Skills:** - Proven track record in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements - Expertise in data privacy, IP management, and HR/labour matters - Ability to provide independent legal advice on critical organizational matters **Preferred Skills:** - Prior in-house legal experience in a tech or IT environment
