**Job Description** **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** - You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and concept design to hardware/software engineering, simulation, testing, and commissioning. Project Engineering: - Lead project engineering for high-current generator excitation systems or relevant electrical power systems, from requirements review and concept development through detailed design, manufacturing support, FAT, installation, and commissioning. - Develop accurate mechanical layouts for high-current applications, typically in the 5,000 A to 10,000 A range, using AutoCAD and relevant 3D design tools. - Lead complete bus work design for high-current systems, including routing, dimensions, clearances, creepage, support locations, bend details, joint details, thermal performance, short-circuit withstand, accessibility, and manufacturability. - Create and review general arrangement drawings, cabinet layouts, bus bar drawings, fabrication details, assembly drawings, BOMs, wiring interfaces, and manufacturing documentation with a high level of accuracy. - Coordinate closely with electrical design, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and system integrators to ensure the mechanical layout and bus work design are practical, safe, manufacturable, and compliant with project requirements. - Support manufacturing quality processes, including design-for-manufacturing reviews, drawing release checks, assembly inspections, dimensional verification, test documentation, nonconformance resolution, and corrective actions. - Apply 3D design practices to validate fitment, accessibility, clearances, cable routing, cooling paths, equipment installation, and serviceability before manufacturing release. - Manage complete technical execution for assigned high-current bus work and layout design scope, including schedule, deliverables, design reviews, manufacturing readiness, risk mitigation, and customer or stakeholder clarifications. Field Services: - Support site execution and installation planning for high-current generator excitation systems or relevant electrical systems, with focus on mechanical layout, equipment placement, and bus work installation requirements. - Review site installation conditions, panel alignment, bus work fitment, clearances, accessibility, and routing against approved drawings and 3D design models. - Provide technical support during installation, assembly, inspection, FAT/SAT, and commissioning activities related to high-current bus work, cabinet layouts, cooling arrangements, and power connections. - Identify and resolve mechanical layout, bus work, wiring interface, installation, and manufacturing-related issues while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule commitments. - Capture site and manufacturing lessons learned and incorporate them into future layout, bus work, and 3D design improvements. - Prepare installation support records, punch lists, issue logs, redline updates, and handover documentation in coordination with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customer teams. **Who You Are:** You should be able to assume responsibility for the outcomes of others . Promotes a sense of urgency and establishes and enforces individual accountability in the team. You should be able to deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner. Actively listens and checks for understanding. Sets aggressive goals and has high standards. You should be consistently one of the top performers. Pursues everything with energy, drive, and the need to finish as per business needs. **For This Role, You Will Need:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline. - Eight (8) to sixteen (16) years of experience in generator excitation systems, high-current electrical systems, electrical panel design, power electronics, or relevant industrial power equipment. - Proven AutoCAD or relevant CAD experience in designing mechanical layouts for high-current electrical systems, preferably in the 5,000 A to 10,000 A range. - Mandatory hands-on 3D design experience for equipment layout, bus work arrangement, fitment checks, clearances, routing, accessibility, and manufacturability validation. - Strong capability to lead complete high-current bus work design with high accuracy, including routing, dimensional control, joint details, supports, clearances, creepage, thermal considerations, and short-circuit withstand requirements. - Ability to create and review general arrangement drawings, cabinet layouts, bus bar drawings, fabrication details, assembly drawings, BOMs, interface drawings, and manufacturing documentation. - Working knowledge of manufacturing quality processes, including design release checks, dimensional inspection, assembly verification, FAT documentation, nonconformance handling, and corrective action follow-up. - Understanding of high-current electrical equipment design practices, including thermal performance, electrical clearances, mechanical supports, cooling paths, cable routing, maintainability, and safety requirements. - Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate drawings, review comments, and manufacturing inputs with minimal rework. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills. - Willingness to work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supplier, and site teams while following all applicable safety and quality protocols. **Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:** - Proven experience with Autodesk Inventor for 3D modelling, mechanical layout development, bus work arrangement, interference checks, assembly validation, and manufacturing drawing generation. - Hands-on experience designing high-current generator excitation systems or similar electrical power systems in the 5,000 A to 10,000 A range. - Advanced knowledge of high-current bus w
