**Lead DevOps Engineer** **Location:** Hyderabad **Experience:** 16-23 Years **Employment Type:** Full-Time **Work Mode:** Hybrid **About the Role** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Lead DevOps Engineer** to drive cloud transformation, automation, and platform engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure. The role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on engineering capabilities, and the ability to mentor teams while ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud-native infrastructure across GCP/AWS/Azure. - Lead Kubernetes platform engineering, cluster administration, and container orchestration initiatives. - Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other DevOps tools to enable rapid and reliable software delivery. - Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. - Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for production systems. - Drive DevOps best practices including automation, security, reliability, and performance optimization. - Collaborate with development, architecture, security, and operations teams to streamline deployment processes. - Establish platform standards, governance, and operational excellence across engineering teams. - Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex production issues. - Mentor and guide DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and automation. **Required Skills & Experience** **Must-Have Skills** - strong DevOps and Cloud Engineering expertise. - Hands-on experience with **Kubernetes** (cluster setup, administration, scaling, upgrades, troubleshooting). - Strong experience with **Docker** and containerization technologies. - Expertise in **CI/CD pipeline implementation** using Jenkins. - Extensive experience with **Terraform** for Infrastructure as Code. - Strong experience in **GCP** (preferred) or AWS/Azure cloud platforms. - Experience with Linux system administration and scripting (Bash, Python, Shell). - Knowledge of Git, GitOps, and source code management tools. - Experience implementing security best practices within CI/CD and cloud environments. - Strong troubleshooting and production support skills. **Good to Have** - Experience with Argo CD, Helm, Istio, or service mesh technologies. - Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and identity management. - Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or Datadog. - Exposure to SRE practices and platform engineering concepts. - Cloud certifications (GCP, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes) are preferred. **Leadership Expectations** - Lead technical discussions and architectural decisions. - Drive automation and operational excellence initiatives. - Mentor junior engineers and build high-performing DevOps teams. - Partner with stakeholders to define DevOps roadmaps and cloud strategies. - Promote best practices around reliability, scalability, security, and cost optimization. **Qualifications** - Bachelor's or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Proven experience leading enterprise-scale cloud and DevOps transformations.
