RESPONSIBILITIES - Strong knowledge of GDT, tolerance management and manufacturing processes - Expert knowledge of CAD tools and PLM workflows - Lead design and development of exhaust systems or major subsystems, including: Front pipe, flex pipe - Catalytic converter / DPF / GPF / SCR - Underbody routing - Classification: Confidential - Mufflers and tailpipes. - Develop designs from: Concept feasibility detailed CAD production release. - Ensure compliance with: Packaging constraints - Thermal and durability requirements - OEM design standards and best practices - Correct GDT application - Manufacturing-ready drawings - Adherence to CAD standards and naming conventions - BOM - Drive DFMEA workshops and design risk mitigation activities - Define DFM and DFA design guidelines for components - Lead packaging and integration studies within vehicle architecture. - Manage engineering changes and design release processes - Coordinate with global engineering teams and suppliers - Review CAD models and drawings for design quality and compliance - Guide engineers on CAD standards and modeling best practices - Support advanced design problem solving and technical decisions - Ensure successful design delivery across engineering programs
