We believe in Confidence over all skin & body biases. **Come, join the pack!** **Job Summary** We are looking for a **Lead - Engineering** at PEP Brands. You will work at the intersection of operations and engineering — taking manual, PM-owned, and analyst-driven processes and turning them into well-designed, robust enterprise solutions. You own decisions from tech stack selection to deployment, and act as a quality gate for code produced by non-engineering stakeholders. You speak fluently in both operations language and systems architecture. **Key Responsibilities:** **Process Translation** -Partner with PMs to deconstruct ground-level operations and translate them into event flows, schemas, and automated enterprise tools. **Stability & Reliability** -Monitor and maintain enterprise systems for uptime, performance, and resilience. Own incident response and ensure SLAs are consistently met. **Data & Event Engineering** -Design schemas, event structures, and data pipelines that accurately reflect real-world ecommerce operations and support downstream analytics. **Tech Stack & Deployment** -Own end-to-end decisions — selecting the right tools and frameworks, handling deployment, environment management, and CI/CD pipelines. **Code Auditing** -Review and improve code produced by analysts and PMs — enforcing standards, preventing technical debt, and mentoring non-engineers. **Cross-functional Collaboration** -Bridge the gap between operations, product, and engineering — communicating clearly with all three and driving alignment without technical gatekeeping. **Qualifications & Experience:** - Experience - 3 to 5 Years in developing, deploying and maintaining engineering pipelines - The experience could include internship/open project work during college/freelancing - Data engineering — pipelines, ETL/ELT, data warehouse design - Schema design and event-driven architecture - Backend development - Cloud infrastructure, deployment and stability maintenance - API design, integration, webhook management and testing - Enterprise tooling — Retool, internal dashboards, workflow automation engines - Code review, standards enforcement, and technical documentation
