Job Title: Project Manager Position: Project Manager Experience:13 to 15yrs Category: Lead Engineer Job location: Chennai / Bangalore /Hyderabad Position ID: J0326-1738 Shift timings: 10 AM to 7 PM Employment Type: Full Time Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Your future duties and responsibilities Job Summary: The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes allocating resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, from offshore and onshore, and collaborating with client IT along with other third-party vendors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle for CGI's deliverables and align with client PM for the overall project that may include client IT and other vendors. Key Responsibilities: - Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with client PM and other key stakeholders. - Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. MPP should be used. - Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. - Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. - Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. - Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary. - Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. - Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. - Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. - Track project milestones and deliverables. - Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. - Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. - Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. - Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. - Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. - Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project. - Ensure the team follow coding standards an best practices that are laid out. Also ensure the team always reviews/suggest tech currency before they start the work. - Awareness of the quality and security gates/process (DevOps) and ensure the team comply to it. **Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role** Must-Have Proven experience in IT project management Strong knowledge of waterfall and agile methodologies Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (2–3 projects) Technical background with understanding/experience in software development and web technologies Excellent client-facing and communication skills (written & verbal) Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention to detail skills Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools Good-to-Have Experience working in a shared resource model Prior experience handling multiple concurrent projects (added advantage) PMP certification CGI is an equal opportunity employer.
