**Job Area:** Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Engineering **General Summary:** **Required Qualifications** - Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - 3+ years of experience in embedded software/firmware development, with significant focus on WiFi or other wireless technologies. - Strong proficiency in **C** for embedded systems; good understanding of realtime constraints, memory/performance optimization. - Solid knowledge of **802.11 protocols** and WiFi stack (MAC state machines, management/control frames, scanning, association, roaming, security, QoS). - Experience with **RTOS or baremetal firmware** on SoCs / MCUs. - Experience debugging lowlevel firmware issues with tools such as JTAG, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and internal debug logs. - **Strong understanding of:** - Interrupt handling, DMA, timers, power management. - Hardware-software interfaces, register programming, and driver/firmware interaction. - Proven ability to **own features independently** and drive complex issues to closure. **Preferred / NicetoHave** - Experience with advanced WiFi features: - 802.11ax/11be (OFDMA, MUMIMO, TWT, MLO, spatial reuse). - Dualband simultaneous (DBS), multiband operations (MBO), advanced roaming. - Experience with **coexistence** (WiFi/BT/LTE/UWB) algorithms. - Familiarity with **Linux WiFi host drivers** (e.g., qcacld/ath11k/etc.) and hostfirmware interfaces (WMI/HTT or similar). - Experience in **power optimization** for batteryoperated/IoT devices. - Exposure to **customerfacing** bringup, field issue debug, or interoperability testing. - Contributions to WiFi standards, opensource drivers, or internal architecture frameworks. - **Strong communication skills** and prior experience as a **technical lead / mentor**. **Minimum Qualifications:** Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master''s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
