The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, integration, verification, and certification of safety-critical software. The ideal candidate needs to be a strong communicator, an effective collaborator, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced Agile environment. The candidate should possess strong technical expertise, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. **Responsibilities & Duties:** - Design and develop middleware, core software libraries, and platform-level software in compliance with DO-178B/C standards. - Analyse and develop clear, complete, and verifiable high-level and low-level software requirements. - Develop software architecture, detailed designs, and embedded software components using object-based and object-oriented design principles. - Implement, integrate, debug, and verify software, primarily using C++. - Develop and review software test cases, test procedures, and automated test scripts. - Support software verification, validation, and certification activities, including the preparation and review of lifecycle artifacts. - Participate in technical reviews, peer reviews, and design discussions to ensure software quality and compliance. - Identify and resolve complex technical issues related to software design, integration, performance, and verification. - Contribute to DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipeline execution. - Communicate technical progress, risks, issues, and recommendations to project leads and relevant stakeholders. **Key Competencies & Skillsets:** - Strong programming experience in C or C++ (C++ preferably) - Experience developing embedded software using real-time operating systems, preferably VxWorks is a plus. - Good understanding of object-based and object-oriented software design and implementation. - Experience developing and reviewing high-level and low-level software requirements. - Experience in software architecture, detailed design, coding, integration, debugging, and verification. - Experience developing software test cases, test procedures, and automated test scripts. - Knowledge of civil aerospace software certification standards, preferably DO-178B/C at Design Assurance Level A. - Experience in the design and development of Flight Management Systems, avionics software, aircraft applications, middleware, or platform software. - Familiarity with configuration management, version control, requirements management, and defect-tracking tools such as Git, Subversion, and JIRA. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges. - Effective verbal and written communication skills. - Strong focus on quality, process compliance, ownership, and timely delivery. **Basic Qualifications****:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Avionics, or a related engineering discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience. - Experience in design and development or Verification and validation of software architectures, libraries, middleware, or platform-level components within an aerospace or safety-critical environment. - Hands-on experience supporting DO-178B/C software development and certification activities, including requirements development, design, coding, verification, and certification documentation.
