Job Purpose: Lead - SCADA is responsible for the operational integrity, maintenance, and security of the SCADA systems within assigned plant segments. This role ensures the smooth functioning of control systems essential for monitoring and managing automated processes, contributing to operational efficiency, safety, and productivity. By providing technical expertise in SCADA programming, network management, and system troubleshooting, the Associate enhances the reliability and security of plant operations. Additionally, they play a key role in supporting business development through technical advisement, compliance management, and assisting in the evaluation of new SCADA technologies, ultimately contributing to both the operational and strategic goals of the organization. Maintenance and Operation of SCADA Systems: Conduct regular maintenance checks on assigned SCADA systems within specific plant segments, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently by performing system diagnostics, software updates, and addressing any minor technical issues to prevent interruptions in operations. Identify and troubleshoot any technical malfunctions in the SCADA systems, collaborating with other team members if necessary to resolve issues quickly and prevent unplanned downtime, which could impact plant productivity and safety. Network Security and Protocol Management: Regularly monitor and configure network security protocols within the SCADA system to ensure safe and uninterrupted data transfer across different plant sections by managing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols that protect sensitive information. Set up, configure, and maintain essential SCADA-related infrastructure, such as servers, switches, and routers, to provide a secure and stable network environment that supports the SCADA system and prevents unauthorized access or data breaches. Technical Support for Business Development: Act as a technical advisor to the sales and business development teams, providing insights on SCADA system functionalities and potential upgrades that align with client needs by giving input on the feasibility, cost, and benefits of different SCADA solutions to aid in sales strategies and client presentations. Engage in discussions about emerging technologies in SCADA and related control systems, communicating potential benefits to the business development team to support marketing initiatives and promote advanced solutions that could attract new clients. Technical Review and Vendor Communication: Review technical specifications, industry standards, and product brochures when considering SCADA software purchases from vendors and carefully evaluate these documents to confirm the software meets plant requirements, is compatible with existing systems, and aligns with regulatory standards for SCADA. Maintain open communication with vendors, discussing product capabilities, licensing terms, and support services to ensure any SCADA system acquisitions are well-understood, fully documented, and meet the plant's current and future technical needs. SCADA System Programming and Development: Assist in developing user-friendly SCADA screens, custom databases, and reporting tools that enable efficient monitoring and analysis of plant data by designing clear, responsive interfaces that give operators real-time access to critical information and streamline workflows. Configure and manage SCADA system networks to support data integration across various plant segments. Safety and Compliance Management: Ensure that all SCADA system operations adhere to established safety protocols, regulatory standards, and industry best practices by routine checks and updates to safety features and compliance documentation, which help protect both personnel and equipment. Maintain accurate documentation for all licenses, support contracts, and compliance-related records associated with SCADA software and hardware to avoid compliance issues, supports system audits, and ensures clear tracking of all SCADA-related liabilities and assets. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze SCADA data to generate insights into system performance, energy consumption, and operational efficiency. Develop and deliver detailed reports to management, including recommendations for system improvements. Maintain accurate logs of system events, alarms, and incidents for audit and compliance purposes. Energy Efficiency and Sustainability: Use SCADA data to identify opportunities for energy conservation and sustainable practices. Implement advanced control strategies to reduce energy waste and optimize resource utilization. Collaborate with the Energy Management team to achieve airport-wide energy reduction goals. Key
