Gartner.com operates as a Scrum‑based organization; this role will focus on **technical solution design and delivery execution**, working closely with Product, Design, and other platform engineering teams. The engineer is expected to provide **technical leadership through deep expertise, strong ownership, and high**‑**quality solutioning** across the full stack. This is a **hands**‑**on role** suited for a **self**‑**motivated, go**‑**getter engineer** who thrives on ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement while delivering high‑quality, customer‑facing digital experiences. ## What You Will Do - Lead end‑to‑end delivery of features and services across **backend, frontend and cloud**. - Design, build, and maintain scalable full‑stack applications using **Spring Boot (Java), AWS, and PostgreSQL**. - Collaborate closely with **Product, Design, partner teams and other stakeholders** - Build functional prototypes and iterate rapidly based on continuous feedback. - Participate in discovery, solutioning, and planning sessions, influencing technology decisions and evolution. - Own delivery execution by removing blockers, managing dependencies, and ensuring predictable and reliable releases. - Champion engineering best practices, including: - Code quality and review standards - Observability, monitoring, and performance tuning - Scalability, security, availability, and reliability - Take responsibility for production systems, including **incident response, root**‑**cause analysis, and continuous improvement**. ## What You Will Need: - Bachelor's degree in computer science**,** Engineering, or a related technical field. - **6-8 years** of professional software engineering experience building production‑grade systems. - Strong hands‑on experience with: - **Backend:** Java, Spring Boot - **Frontend:** React.js or Angular is preferred - **Databases:** PostgreSQL or strong relational database experience - **Cloud:** AWS preferred; Azure acceptable with solid cloud native experience - Solid understanding of **design principles** and best practices. - Experience designing and integrating **RESTful APIs** and full‑stack interfaces. - Strong qualitative and quantitative **problem**‑**solving skills**. - Demonstrated ability to **mentor, coach, and technically lead engineers**. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non‑technical audiences. - Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and **own delivery and outcomes**. ## Who You Are: - A **self**‑**driven, go**‑**getter** with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. - Comfortable leading from the front while remaining deeply hands‑on with technology. - Proactive, intellectually curious, and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment. - Organized and effective at prioritization and time management.
