A Snapshot of Your Day As a Lead Solution Expert (Mendix) , you will lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable low-code applications using the Mendix platform. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to translate business requirements into innovative digital solutions that support Siemens Energy's transformation initiatives. In this role, you will provide technical leadership across the application lifecycle, mentor developers, drive Agile delivery practices, and ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, performance, and maintainability. You will also play a key role in shaping technical architecture and fostering best practices within the Mendix development community. How You'll Make an Impact • Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications using the Mendix low-code platform. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams on Mendix best practices, coding standards, governance, and platform capabilities. • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into technical specifications, solution designs, and user stories. • Drive Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and release planning. • Conduct architecture reviews and code reviews to ensure compliance with security, quality, and performance standards. • Own and oversee the complete application lifecycle, from solution design through deployment and production support. • Ensure application reliability through robust testing, quality assurance, and performance optimization practices. • Manage issue resolution, bug fixes, enhancements, and change requests while maintaining strong stakeholder communication. • Lead client discussions, technical workshops, design-thinking sessions, and solution demonstrations. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Mendix applications with enterprise systems and cloud platforms. What You Bring Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. • 6-8 years of overall software development experience, including significant hands-on expertise with the Mendix low-code platform. • Mendix Advanced Certified Developer certification (mandatory). • Proven experience leading development teams and delivering projects in Agile/Scrum environments. • Strong expertise in: • Mendix domain modeling • Microflows and business logic implementation • Forms, pages, and user experience development • Application performance optimization • Experience building and consuming app services within Mendix applications. • Hands-on experience with: • JavaScript • CSS • HTML • XPath • Experience developing Java actions and integrating external web services. • Strong understanding of: • SQL and database concepts • Model-Driven Development (MDD) • Agile/Scrum methodologies • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Mendix Native Mobile development. • Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and modern application architecture patterns. • Experience integrating Mendix applications with enterprise systems. • Exposure to cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure and AWS. • Experience working in large-scale global enterprise environments.
