**Job Title: Senior Executive / Deputy Manager - Stores** **Department :** Stores **Reporting To :** Department Head **Location :** Kanhe, Pune **Job Purpose:** To lead and manage all stores and inventory operations ensuring **accurate inventory control, timely material availability, optimized stock levels, compliance to safety & quality standards**, and effective coordination with production, purchase, logistics, and finance teams. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Stores & Inventory Management** - Overall responsibility of **RM, WIP, FG, bought-out parts, consumables, spares, tools, and packaging materials**. - Ensure **FIFO / FEFO** compliance and proper material identification & traceability. - Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid **line stoppages or excess inventory**. - Monitor inventory accuracy through **daily, weekly & monthly stock verification**. - Ensure **zero negative stock** and high system vs physical stock accuracy (>99%). **2. Material Receipt & Dispatch** - Ensure proper **GRN processing**, quantity & quality verification at receipt stage. - Coordinate with Quality for **incoming inspection & rejection handling**. - Control **dispatch of FG / job work materials** with correct documentation (Invoice, E-way bill, Challan). - Manage **returnable & non-returnable gate pass** systems. **3. System & Documentation Control** - Ensure all transactions are correctly posted in **SAP**. - Maintain documentation for **GST, audits, statutory compliance, and traceability**. - Ensure **job work material accounting** as per GST rules. - Maintain records of **scrap generation, disposal, and approval**. **4. Coordination & Planning** - Coordinate with **Production, PPC, Purchase, Quality, Logistics, and Finance**. - Support **production planning** by ensuring timely availability of materials. - Work closely with Purchase for **shortage follow-ups, slow-moving & obsolete inventory control**. - Participate in **monthly inventory review & MIS meetings**. **5. Team Management** - Lead, train, and develop **storekeepers, supervisors, and helpers**. - Ensure proper **shift planning and manpower utilization**. - Define KPIs and monitor performance of stores team. - Promote discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement culture. **6. Safety, 5S & Compliance** - Ensure compliance to **EHS norms, material handling safety, and fire safety**. - Implement and sustain **5S / Lean / Kaizen practices** in stores. - Ensure safe stacking, racking load limits, aisle marking, and signage. - Reduce material damage, mishandling, and accidents. **7. Continuous Improvement & Cost Control** - Drive initiatives for: - Inventory reduction - Space optimization - Handling time reduction - Digitization / barcode / QR code systems - Control material losses, pilferage, and scrap. - Support **internal, external, and customer audits**. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** - Inventory accuracy (%) - Stock turnover ratio - Inventory holding cost - Line stoppages due to material shortage - Audit compliance score - Scrap & obsolescence value **Qualification & Experience** - **Education:** Graduate / Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or equivalent - **Experience:** 1012 years in Stores / Inventory management in manufacturing industry - **Industry Preference:** Automotive / Stamping / Fabrication / Heavy Engineering **Skills & Competencies** - Strong knowledge of **inventory control & ERP systems** - Understanding of **GST & job work compliance** - Leadership & people management skills - Analytical & problem-solving ability - Good communication & coordination skills - Exposure to **Lean, 5S, TPM** preferred
