Casing: 1B Job description: - Candidate needs to be proficient in FE meshing of complex structure using 1D, 2D, & 3D elements. Needs to be proficient in creating hexahedral, tetrahedral, and combined mesh with transition in ANSYS/NX CAE. Hypermesh meshing experience will be added advantage. - Needs to be proficient with model set-up including but not limited to, material, boundary condition, load, & contact application in ANSYS. Needs to have expertise in linear & non-linear modeling. - Needs to be proficient in static & transient thermal, structural and modal analyses. Needs to have good work experience in harmonic and buckling analyses. - Needs to be proficient in bolt/weld joint assessment. - Needs to be proficient in fatigue (LCF and HCF) analysis. And needs to have good work experience in thermo-mechanical fatigue, fracture mechanics and creep analyses. - Needs to validate the results and document the assessment along with results summary and conclusion. - Needs to participate in internal & external reviews and present the assessment to stakeholders. - Needs to mentor and train new joiners and less experienced engineers. - Need to take lead in team building & program level initiatives Required Skills and Experience: - Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals especially in solid mechanics, thermodynamics, materials, theory of failure, and finite element methods. - - Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical engineering or equivalent with 8 to 12 years of experience in finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS (Workbench & APDL) in preferably turbomachinery (Gas & steam turbine) domain. - Proficient with ANSYS Element library, material models, and APDL scripting. Working experience with ACT, and python scripting will be added advantage. - Proficient in UG NX modeling, model clean-up, and modification using spaceclaim or design modeller - - Good experience in free body diagram and hand calculation. - Experience in performing strength assessment as per ASME BPV Sec VIII Code. Experience with Euro codes will be added advantage. - Should be able to work independently and guide others.
