Lead System Engineer - (ETL & Snowflake)

Job description

**Role & responsibilities** - **Stakeholder Management**: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the ETL operations team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities. - **Delivery & Operational Management**: Oversee daily production support activities, ensuring SLAs are met and incidents are resolved promptly. - **Team Leadership**: Lead and mentor a team of ETL support engineers, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. - **ETL Operations**: Manage and optimize ETL workflows, ensuring data pipelines are efficient, reliable, and scalable. - **Automation & Optimization**: Drive initiatives to automate repetitive tasks, improve system performance, and reduce manual intervention. - **Incident & Problem Management**: Handle escalations, root cause analysis, and long-term fixes for recurring issues. **Preferred candidate profile** - Overall 8+ Years of experience and a minimum of 3 years as a **Team Lead** in production support or ETL operations. - **Technical Expertise**: **Snowflake** Data warehousing and query optimization **SQL** Strong query writing and performance tuning **Unix** – Shell scripting and system operations **Informatica** – ETL workflows, optimization, automation, and support - **Soft Skills**: Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Proven track record in **ETL production support** and **team management**. - Experience in **automation initiatives** and **process optimization**.
