Job description

**About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer. **In this role, you will:** - Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high level systems consultation for the technology teams - Work as key participant in large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional area - Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems - Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements - Consult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives - Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals **Required Qualifications:** - 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education **Desired Qualifications:** - Lead SRE practice for CCIBT Infrastructure and Security team - Expertise in Patch Management and Vulnerability assessments for cloud workloads, VMs, containers - Solid understanding of Qualys - Solid understanding of PRISMA - Solid understanding of Wiz - Solid understanding of BigFix tools - Solid understanding of App Sec tools - Blackduck, Checkmarx, Sonar Qube. - Hands on with Python/Ansible scripting - Hands on with AI/Gen AI tools - Excellent Communication skills **Job Expectations:** - Manage and Govern Infrastructure vulnerability for CCIBT - Collaborate with various teams to understand the risks, exploitability, and business impact associated with vulnerabilities, understand the remediation plan, Track remediation activities and ensure closure within defined SLAs, co-ordinate validation of the fixes with CIO and Platform teams - Develop best practices to govern Infra vulnerabilities - Drive automation to address the vulnerabilities and reduce human effort - Monitor and improve security posture for hybrid and multi-cloud environments - Coordinate with infrastructure, cloud, middleware, and DevOps teams to drive vulnerability remediation - Provide actionable remediation guidance and technical recommendations - Understand the patching cycles and standardize configuration management efforts - Drive incidents and Post Incident Review related to infrastructure vulnerabilities
