Come and join us for an exciting career with TCS!!! **Role- Mainframe Developer Manufacturing** **Exp- 4 - 10 Years** **Location- Visakhapatnam** ***Required Technical Skill*** 1. Design, develop, and support IBM Mainframe applications aligned with SKF manufacturing and supply chain operations. 2. Develop and maintain programs using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS in a high-availability environment. 3. Analyze manufacturing business processes (production planning, inventory, order management) and translate into technical solutions. 4. Support ERP and legacy systems integrated with plant operations and global supply chain. 5. Develop batch and online applications for production, logistics, and distribution workflows. 6. Perform unit testing, SIT, and UAT support ensuring high system reliability in manufacturing environments. 7. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues impacting plant operations and business continuity. 8. Write and optimize JCL jobs for large-scale batch processing and reporting. 9. Work with DB2 for data design, query optimization, and performance tuning. 10. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance across manufacturing systems. 11. Collaborate with global teams including business analysts, plant IT teams, and QA. 12. Use tools such as Endevor, File-AID, SPUFI, Abend-AID, and IBM Debug Tool. 13. Participate in modernization initiatives (API enablement, integration with cloud/ERP platforms). 14. Support integration with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and SAP/ERP systems. 15. Follow IT standards, security policies, and governance frameworks. 16. Prepare and maintain technical documentation and system manuals. 17. Required Certifications: IBM Certified Application Developer – COBOL, IBM DB2 Certification, ITIL Foundation (preferred). 18. Preferred Skills: Exposure to APIs, middleware (MQ Series), DevOps tools, and Agile methodologies. 19. Experience in manufacturing domain (automotive, industrial engineering, bearing industry preferred). 20. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to work in global environment.
