**Job Description: Mainframe** Exp 6-9 yrs Location: Bangalore/Chennai. **The Skills that are Key to this role** - Hands on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, MVS, Endeavor ISPF, TSO, CICS, Control-M, and basic IBM utilities - Proven problem-solving abilities and analysis of complex mainframe programs is a must skill. - Must be experienced in maintaining systems in the MVS mainframe environment. - Must have worked in Mainframe application development. - Must be able to negotiate, influence and work with business peers and management. - Must have experience of working in an agile environment - Ability to understand the requirements and come up with an optimal end-to-end solution - Must possess strong analytical skills to review the production problems reported - Able to do unit testing **Behavioral Skills** - Candidate should possess highly proficient written and verbal communication skills in the English language - Candidate should possess exceptional stakeholder management skills - Connect with business partners on critical requirements and work with different teams to derive the solution - Must be capable of fixing complex processes quickly and learn through independent research. - Must take the end-to-end ownership of all the tasks and work independently - Should be a good team player **Desired Value-Add Skills** - Knowledge of Micro-Services Architecture concepts and emerging patterns such as APIs, Web Services (REST/SOAP). - Knowledge in Core Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot **The Skills You Bring** - Ability to collaborate with other technical and business experts in the team - Your sophisticated skills in data intensive application development, data integration, and data pipeline design patterns on a mainframe platform. - Proven ability to learn and experiment with new technologies and patterns - Passion to follow modern test driven and automation driven software development methodologies **The Value You Deliver** - Keeping the focus of the work in terms of Customer obsession. - Partner with technical leads to make clear, simple, and technically sound design decisions. - Embrace continuous improvement regarding application quality and stability. - Strong sense of ownership for the quality of solution delivery. - Being candid and honest in all discussions to ensure the best outcomes. **The Expertise were looking forEducation and Experience:** - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar subject. - 8+ years of experience in development work in Mainframe technology. - Financial services experience, preferably in Brokerage Domain - Certification in relevant technologies is preferred. **Skills/Knowledge and experience**: - Operating Systems : Mainframe - Languages : Mainframe (work experience is must),Good to have understanding of - distributed technology. - Database : DB2, exposure to Oracle DB - Methodology : Agile - Others : Prior experience on large scale IT Transformational Projects ( Migration, Modernization) is plus **Note: The candidate is mandatory required to work from the client’s office for two weeks, followed by two weeks of working from home.Role & responsibilities**
