ROLE SUMMARY The Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) team within the organization is dedicated to transforming data into actionable intelligence, enabling the business to remain competitive and innovative in a data-driven world. Are you energized by tracking the competitive landscape and turning it into strategic advantage? Do you thrive at the intersection of market intelligence, commercial strategy, and data-driven insight? Join our team as a Manager, Competitive Intelligence, where you will monitor, analyze, and synthesize the external environment to shape how Pfizer competes and wins across international markets. As a Manager, Competitive Intelligence within GCA, you are a trusted thought partner to commercial, marketing, and clinical development leadership. You don't just monitor — you synthesize, connect, and provoke. You translate complex competitor data, clinical trial signals, regulatory events, and earnings intelligence into clear, decision-ready insights that inform portfolio strategy, launch planning, and commercial execution. You work closely with International Commercial AI leadership, brand and portfolio marketing teams, and cross-functional governance forums to ensure the competitive and external view is always current, credible, and actionable. You are self-directed, rigorous in your analysis, and confident presenting to senior stakeholders. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Competitive Landscape Monitoring & Intelligence • Continuously monitor the competitive landscape across assigned therapeutic areas and markets — tracking pipeline programs, clinical trial milestones, regulatory submissions and approvals, label updates, pricing, and commercial launches. • Leverage AI-enabled workflows (including Copilot, Claude, Python automation, and secondary database tools) to accelerate data gathering, pattern detection, and insight generation at scale. • Maintain up-to-date competitor profiles covering stages, indications, geographies, pivotal trial designs, combination strategies, and anticipated catalysts. • Track and synthesize competitor congress presentations, earnings calls, investor materials, and KOL commentary to surface strategic signals early. 2. Strategic Analysis & Insight Generation • Translate complex clinical, regulatory, and commercial data into clear, decision-ready insights for senior commercial, portfolio, and clinical development leadership. • Lead deep-dive analyses on high-priority competitive topics — assessing competitor competitiveness across stages, indications, and geographies, and mapping implications for Pfizer's commercial and pipeline strategy. • Apply structured analytical frameworks (SWOT, scenario analysis, competitive benchmarking, portfolio breadth-vs-depth) to generate insight beyond data aggregation. • Develop and deliver Quarterly Peer Earnings Reports analyzing competitor revenues, earnings call commentary, and strategic signals, for cascading to regional and international commercial leadership. 3. Stakeholder Partnership & Communication • Act as a trusted thought partner to commercial, marketing, and clinical development teams — proactively sharing intelligence and framing the so-what for ongoing business decisions. • Prepare and present competitive readouts at cross-functional forums, governance meetings, and congress debriefs, translating technical competitive data into business-relevant narratives. • Build and maintain strong working relationships with brand/portfolio marketing, commercial development, and strategy teams to embed CI into launch planning, operating plans, and strategic reviews. • Produce executive-ready storyboards and presentations that synthesize complex external intelligence into concise, visually compelling outputs for senior leadership. 4. Launch Intelligence & Market Strategy Support • Support commercial teams with launch excellence intelligence — covering competitor go-to-market approaches, pricing and access strategies, launch sequencing, and market dynamics across international markets. • Contribute competitive insight to tender and contracting strategies, providing market intelligence that informs high-value bid decisions across products and markets. • Develop CI frameworks covering launch excellence, affordability, and regulatory strategy, and partner with brand and commercial development teams to embed CI into planning cycles. • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, Economics, or a related field.
