Manager/Assistant Manager - Sales & BD

Role Overview We are looking for a Manager / Assistant Manager – Sales & Business Development who will own both new business acquisition and existing account retention & growth . The role requires a strong hunter mindset along with the ability to build long-term customer relationships and drive revenue from existing accounts. Key Responsibilities • Generate and convert new business opportunities across E-commerce, D2C, Retail, Consumer Durables and other relevant segments. • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, references, LinkedIn and industry networks. • Understand customer requirements around shipment volumes, weight profile, lanes, SLAs and service needs. • Drive the complete sales cycle from prospecting to commercial closure and onboarding. • Manage assigned existing accounts and ensure strong customer engagement and retention. • Identify upsell, cross-sell and wallet-share expansion opportunities. • Coordinate with Operations, Pricing, Finance and CX teams for smooth onboarding and issue resolution. • Drive revenue, retention and account-growth targets. • Maintain CRM, sales reports, forecasts and account plans. • Conduct regular customer reviews and proactively identify business risks and opportunities. Ideal Candidate • 3–7 years of B2B Sales / BD / KAM experience. • Logistics, E-commerce, D2C or Supply Chain experience preferred. • Strong prospecting, negotiation and relationship-management skills. • Commercially oriented with strong ownership and follow-through. • Comfortable interacting with senior customer stakeholders. • Target-driven, analytical and execution-focused.
