Job Title: Manager – Core Infrastructure Operations **Location:** [Bangalore / Onsite(5-Days WFO] **Experience:** 10+ Years **Employment Type:** Full-Time NP\\_ Immediate joiners **About the Role** We are looking for an experienced **Manager – Core Infrastructure Operations** to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of enterprise infrastructure services. This is a **hands-on leadership role** responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, availability, and continuous improvement of core infrastructure environments across data centers, virtualization, compute, storage, backup & recovery, network, and server platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong operational leadership experience, excellent incident management skills, and the ability to drive infrastructure stability while leading a high-performing technical team. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Operations & Service Management - Lead daily operations of enterprise infrastructure services across: - Data Centers & Server Rooms - Compute & Virtualization Platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) - Storage Infrastructure - Backup & Recovery Systems - Network Infrastructure - Windows/Linux Server Operating Systems - Manage incidents, service requests, changes, maintenance activities, and lifecycle upgrades. - Ensure high availability, performance, security, and operational stability of infrastructure services. - Define priorities across operational support, risk reduction initiatives, and project activities. - Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures. - Manage 24x7 on-call support coverage and escalation processes. Incident & Problem Management - Act as the primary escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents. - Lead major incident response and coordinate cross-functional technical teams. - Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions. - Reduce recurring incidents through automation, monitoring enhancements, and process improvements. - Partner with Service Management teams for incident communication and stakeholder updates. Change & Production Readiness - Ensure infrastructure changes are properly planned, tested, approved, implemented, and documented. - Support high-risk and emergency changes with rollback and recovery planning. - Validate production readiness for new infrastructure services and changes. - Ensure compliance with change management, audit, and operational standards. Team Leadership - Lead, mentor, and develop infrastructure operations engineers. - Drive accountability, performance management, and technical capability development. - Establish clear ownership, escalation paths, and operational governance. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. **Required Skills & Experience** **Must Have** - 12+ years of Infrastructure Operations experience with at least 5+ years in Team Management. - Strong experience managing enterprise infrastructure environments. - Hands-on knowledge of: - Data Center Operations - Compute & Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) - Storage Technologies (SAN/NAS) - Backup & Recovery Solutions - Windows & Linux Server Administration - Network Infrastructure Fundamentals - Experience managing: - Incident Management - Problem Management - Change Management - Production Support Operations - Strong understanding of: - Disaster Recovery (DR) - Business Continuity - Backup & Restore Processes - RTO/RPO Concepts - Operational Risk & Change Control - Experience leading teams during major service-impacting incidents. - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Good to Have - Exposure to Hybrid Cloud environments (Azure/AWS). - Infrastructure Automation experience (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, etc.). - ITIL Foundation or equivalent certification. - Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
