Learn more about ET&P **Your work profile** We are seeking an experienced **Transition Manager** to lead large-scale Application Management Services (AMS) and Application Transition programs for enterprise clients. The role will be responsible for planning, governing, and executing end-to-end transitions while ensuring business continuity, operational readiness, stakeholder alignment, and seamless knowledge transfer. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Transition Management Office (TMO) setup, wave-based application transitions, governance, stakeholder management, knowledge transition, and service stabilization across complex application landscapes. **Key Responsibilities** - Define and execute transition strategies, operating models, and wave-based transition roadmaps. - Establish application selection and prioritization criteria based on business criticality, dependencies, complexity, and operational risk. - Develop integrated transition plans, milestones, dependencies, and readiness checkpoints. - Drive transition governance through structured stage gates and sign-off mechanisms. - Establish and manage the Transition Management Office (TMO). - Lead governance forums including Steering Committees, operational reviews, and executive status meetings. - Manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and escalation processes. - Track transition KPIs, maturity metrics, and executive dashboards. - Lead application onboarding and transition activities across multiple waves. - Ensure completion of knowledge transfer, access provisioning, documentation readiness, and operational handover. - Validate transition readiness through shadow, reverse-shadow, and hypercare phases. - Drive service stabilization and transition exit criteria achievement. - Build trusted relationships and drive alignment across cross-functional teams. - Manage communication plans, executive reporting, and stakeholder engagement activities. - Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution across multiple workstreams. - Coordinate internal delivery teams, SMEs, architects, and support resources. - Manage resource planning, capacity forecasting, and transition staffing requirements. - Identify and mitigate key-person dependencies and resource risks. - Drive knowledge retention and cross-skilling initiatives. - Identify opportunities to improve transition velocity, operational efficiency, and service maturity. - Drive standardization, automation, and best practices across transition activities. - Support transition maturity assessments and roadmap development toward target operating models. **Key skills required:** - 10–14 years of IT services experience with 5+ years managing application transitions or managed services transitions. - Proven experience leading large-scale AMS, Application Support, or IT Outsourcing transitions. - Strong understanding of transition lifecycle including KT, shadow/reverse-shadow, hypercare, and stabilization. - Experience managing multi-application, multi-vendor, and geographically distributed teams. - Strong governance, program management, and stakeholder management capabilities. - Experience with service management frameworks such as ITIL. - Strong communication and executive presentation skills. - Experience in setting up and leading Transition Management Offices (TMO). - Exposure to manufacturing, automotive, retail, consumer goods, or enterprise application landscapes. - Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar delivery and reporting tools. - PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, or equivalent certifications. - Experience in digital transformation, AMS transformation, or global delivery models.
