Manager - Enterprise Acceleration
Reliance Retail · Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Reliance Retail · Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
**Job Overview** This is a rare, high-visibility opportunity to sit within Reliance Retail's CEO's Office, as part of the newly formed Enterprise Acceleration Office (EAO) a small, high-impact team set up to drive the organisation's most critical, cross-cutting priorities. Working closely with the EAO Lead and senior business leadership, the incumbent will get direct exposure to CEO/CLT-level decision-making on some of the company's top strategic bets for the Fashion & Lifestyle (F&L) Business: AI transformation, operating model design, cross-division synergies, and innovation scale-up. This is not a role for someone looking to only advise from the sidelines. The mandate blends structured analytical work — sizing opportunities, building the underlying business case, tracking execution data — with hands-on coordination to keep priorities moving on the ground. The incumbent should be comfortable rolling up their sleeves: running the numbers themselves, chasing follow-through, and coordinating with stakeholders to unblock delivery. The incumbent will work in direct partnership with the F&L Business leadership to frame priorities, align stakeholders, maintain execution pace, and resolve cross-functional blockers. **Activities / Responsibilities** **1. Division Charter Ownership & Governance** - Define, maintain, and govern the written charter for each active F&L Business priority, covering the objective, value case, milestones, decision log, and risk register. - Ensure the F&L Business CEO and CLT have a single, consolidated view of progress across all live priorities at all times. - Own escalation, review materials, and follow-through on decisions without substituting for division line accountability. **2. AI Transformation of the Division** - Develop the F&L Business AI charter by identifying and prioritising use cases, and aligning business, data, product/technology, and operations teams on a shared roadmap and delivery timeline. - Work with stakeholders to drive adoption and value realisation across workstreams (such as Catalogue Intelligence, Merchandising Agility, Personalised Look Feeds, etc.). - Establish a measurement framework for each use case prior to launch; track AI-attributed GMV contribution as the north star metric. **3. Operating Model Implementation** - Work with the F&L Business CEO to embed operating model requirements within F&L Business. - Identify gaps in accountability and follow-through and implement mechanisms to drive consistent execution across the division. **4. Cross-Division Collaboration** - Identify and activate shared assortment, customer, monetisation, and supply chain opportunities across Reliance Retail divisions, with a specific focus on F&L Business category growth on JioMart and synergies with F&L, Electronics, and other formats. - Codify effective F&L Business interventions into documented playbooks and facilitate their adoption across other divisions within RRVL. **5. Innovation Scale-Up** - Establish a pilot-to-scale pathway for F&L Business growth priorities with defined owners, milestones, funding logic, and phase-gate reviews. - Ensure all active innovation bets have a go/no-go framework to prevent inconclusive pilots from consuming ongoing bandwidth. **6. AOP Governance & Performance Management** - Maintain weekly plan-vs-actual visibility across F&L Business priorities; identify risks early, coordinate intervention plans, and escalate trade-offs to the F&L Business CEO and CLT. - Ensure no at-risk priority goes without a documented intervention plan for more than two weeks. **Ideal Candidate Profile** - B.Tech/B.E. from an IIT or NIT (Class of 2016–2019), with an MBA from an IIM or an Ivy League business school. - 7–10 years of total post-undergraduate experience, with a demonstrable mix of Tier-1 strategy consulting and operating/business roles. - Prior exposure to retail, e-commerce, D2C, or consumer businesses, either through client engagements or direct operating roles. - A clear, articulable track record of AI-first execution: having scoped, built, shipped, or driven adoption of an AI-powered product, workflow, or personal project. - Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with comfort operating at CXO/CLT interfaces. - Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills, paired with the written and strategic communication ability to distil these into crisp, decision-ready presentations. - Equally comfortable building a business case as rolling up their sleeves to chase execution and follow-through on the ground - this role is as much about doing as it is about advising. - High ownership orientation - comfortable driving outcomes through influence across teams without formal line authority.
