To support this need and help maintain operational efficiency, A&M has invested in growing its Business Intelligence Unit (BIU). The BIU creates and maintains scalable data pipelines, constructs analysis, delivers process improvement initiatives and builds visualization tools and applications. The unit is also focused on embedding AI into its own ways of working to drive efficiency, and on enabling the business to apply AI to the data assets the team provides. All with the goal of supporting the firm to realize operational efficiencies identified through analysis. The BIU operates across multiple geographies and practice areas, supporting decision-making for senior stakeholders across the firm. The Insight Optimisation team is responsible for the ongoing health, evolution, and optimization of the firm's core reporting products. The team manages report consistency, user experience, backend data model improvements, documentation, troubleshooting, and enhancement requests. The team mission is to provide a seamless user experience to the business whilst reducing long-term operational overhead through prioritising consistency, consolidation, and a focus on action-driven insights. **How you will contribute** The Business Intelligence Unit is seeking an experienced Manager to lead the Insight Optimisation team based in India. Reporting to the Head of the BIU, the Manager, Insight Optimisation is responsible for leading, developing, and retaining a high-performing team of analysts whilst owning delivery of the core reporting suite that supports decision-making across the firm. This is a leadership role that combines team management with hands-on technical ownership. The successful candidate will have strong technical grounding in Power BI and SQL, demonstrated people management experience, and the credibility to serve as the senior escalation point for complex reporting and database issues. The role plays a critical part in the firm's transition to a new Snowflake data environment and requires the ability to coordinate with regional managers and data engineering teams across multiple geographies. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader who balances operational excellence with stakeholder empathy, drives continuous improvement, and has the appetite to shape how the BIU delivers value at scale. - Lead, coach, and develop the Insight Optimisation team, setting direction, priorities, and quality standards aligned to the team mission. - Build a culture of technical excellence, user empathy, and continuous improvement within the team. - Own the ongoing optimization of the firm's core reporting suite, ensuring reports are consistent, usable, and driving action. - Responsible for validation and team output sign-off. - Review report usage statistics and user feedback to prioritize improvements with the greatest business impact. - Ensure documentation, user guides, and data definition lists are maintained to a high standard as the reporting landscape evolves. - Serve as the senior escalation point for complex report troubleshooting, diagnosing issues across reporting, database, and source layers. - Review dashboard refresh times and backend data models to identify opportunities for more efficient data delivery. - Lead the team's workstream in the transition to the new Snowflake environment, managing sequencing and quality of report repointing. - Identify opportunities to embed AI into the team's ways of working to drive efficiency. - Build trusted relationships with senior business stakeholders, understanding report usage and identifying friction points. - Represent the Insight Optimisation team in BIU leadership forums and cross-regional planning discussions - Partner closely with the Data Engineering team on backend improvements, refresh optimization, and the Snowflake transition. **Qualifications** - 8-11 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data-focused consulting, with a proven track record of delivery to senior business stakeholders. - Demonstrable people management experience, including performance management, coaching, and career development of a team. - Strong technical grounding in Power BI, including performance optimization, data modelling, dashboard design, and troubleshooting. - Advanced SQL skills and proven experience with relational databases and data warehouse architectures. - Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms. - Experience owning delivery of BI or reporting products used by senior business stakeholders. - Awareness of current AI and generative AI tools, with an interest in applying them to analytics workflows and reporting products. - Systematic troubleshooting instincts, with the ability to diagnose issues across the analytics stack. - Experience with user-centred design principles applied to reporting and analytics products. - Operational excellence mindset - comfortable driving process improvements, reducing rework, and building sustainable ways of working. - Experience working across time zones and in globally distributed teams. - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a relevant field. - Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to infl
