**Manager, Investment Research – ADP Ventures** **Location:** India **About the Role** ADP Ventures is seeking a **Manager, Investment Research** to play a senior, hands-on role in sourcing, evaluating, and supporting venture investments. This role represents a step up from a Senior Investment Analyst position, with increased ownership across **investment diligence, research strategy, and portfolio engagement** , while remaining an individual contributor (no formal people management). The Manager will work closely with senior investors and partners to shape investment theses, lead core diligence workstreams, and provide high-quality insights that inform investment decisions and portfolio value creation. **What You’ll Do** **Investment Research & Diligence Leadership** - Lead and execute **end-to-end investment research and diligence** across new investment opportunities, including: - Market sizing and industry analysis - Competitive landscape assessment - Business model and unit economics evaluation - Financial modeling and valuation support - Technology and product differentiation analysis - Independently manage diligence workstreams and coordinate inputs from internal stakeholders and external experts. - Synthesize complex findings into **clear, decision-ready investment memos** and presentations for senior investment committees. **Thesis Development & Market Intelligence** - Partner with senior investors on **thematic research and investment thesis development** across ADP Ventures’ focus areas. - Conduct deep market research to identify emerging trends, technologies, and business models relevant to the future of work. - Support incubation concepts and white-space analysis through structured research and data-driven insights. **Deal Pipeline & Investment Process** - Manage portions of the **investment pipeline** , including opportunity tracking, prioritization, and diligence coordination. - Support deal execution by preparing materials for internal reviews, investment discussions, and approvals. - Actively contribute to weekly investment and portfolio review meetings. **Portfolio Company Support** - Work with portfolio companies post-investment to support strategic initiatives such as: - Market expansion analysis - Competitive positioning - KPI and performance tracking - Identify follow-on investment opportunities and adjacencies within the portfolio ecosystem. **What We’re Looking For** **Required Qualifications** - **5–7 years of total professional experience** , including: - Venture capital, growth equity, or private equity - Investment banking, strategy consulting, or corporate development with strong analytical exposure - Demonstrated experience leading **investment research and due diligence** for technology-enabled or SaaS businesses. - Strong financial acumen, including: - Financial modeling and valuation - Financial statement analysis - Bachelor’s degree in **Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field** . **Core Skills & Attributes** - Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex business models and market dynamics. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced venture environment. - Collaborative mindset and comfort working across geographies and cross-functional teams. **Preferred / Nice to Have** - Prior experience in **HR technology, payroll, fintech, or enterprise SaaS** . - Certifications related to investment analysis, private equity, or venture capital. - Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent). - Understanding of **HR outsourcing or payroll services** ecosystems. **About ADP Ventures** **ADP Ventures** is the corporate venture capital arm of ADP, focused on investing in innovative companies that are shaping the future of work.
