Manager - Procurement

Job description

**Role & responsibilities** - **Lead end-to-end procurement of plant, machinery, and factory setup equipment, from RFQ to purchase order closure.** - **Source and procure production machinery, industrial utilities, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and factory infrastructure equipment.** - **Conduct techno-commercial evaluations, vendor negotiations, cost analysis, and contract finalization.** - **Manage domestic and international sourcing, including import procurement, logistics, customs, and landed cost optimization.** - **Develop and manage OEM/vendor relationships, conduct vendor evaluations, and drive alternate source development.** - **Execute cost optimization initiatives through value engineering, market intelligence, standardization, and strategic sourcing.** - **Coordinate with engineering, projects, quality, finance, and logistics teams to ensure timely procurement and project execution.** - **Ensure compliance with procurement policies, statutory requirements, documentation standards, and support internal/external audits.** **Preferred candidate profile** - **510 years of experience in procurement of plant & machinery for factory setup, CAPEX, Greenfield/Brownfield, or EPC projects.** - **Strong expertise in sourcing mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and industrial equipment, including vendor development, techno-commercial evaluations, and negotiations.** - **Experience in domestic/international sourcing, import procurement, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) with a solid understanding of procurement best practices and equipment standards.**
