Our expertise extends to multimodal transport solutions, customs clearance, port security, and environmental sustainability, positioning us as a key player in global trade and logistics. **Job Purpose:** Shift In Charge - Backup Fertilizer and Minerals Operations is responsible for leading the shift activities related to the handling and processing of fertilizer and mineral cargo at the port. This role ensures that operations during the shift are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the port's operational standards and safety protocols. **Responsibilities** **Shift Management:** Direct shift operations for the handling of fertilizer and mineral cargo, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of activities. **Operational Oversight** Monitor vessel loading and unloading operations, rake handling, and cargo storage, taking corrective actions as needed to maintain operational efficiency. **Resource Management** Assess and manage the allocation of resources, including equipment and labor, to support efficient cargo handling during the shift. **Safety Compliance** Conduct safety briefings, enforce the use of personal protective equipment, and maintain a safe working environment throughout the shift. **Communication And Coordination** Facilitate effective communication with client representatives, transporters, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations. **Quality Control** Oversee the quality and quantity of cargo during handling, ensuring that all operations meet the required standards. **Documentation And Reporting** Prepare and maintain accurate records of shift operations, including cargo handling rates and resource utilization. **Digital Mindset** Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness. **Key Stakeholders - Internal** Head of Section - Dry Cargo Operations, Head of Section- Logistics, Head of Section - Back up operations, minerals and FCC, Line manager - Backup fertilizer and mineral operations, Other Department Heads & Direct reportees **Key Stakeholders - External** Prospective clients, government and regulatory bodies, Trade groups, Competitors **Qualifications** **Experience & Educational Requirements** **Educational Qualifications** (degree, training, or certification required) MBA/B.E./B. Tech (Any Discipline) **RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:** (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required) 10-15 Years experience in the relevant field
