Job description

**Role & responsibilities** Greenfield Project Setup - Establish the complete stores and warehouse infrastructure for the Greenfield plant. - Develop stores layout, storage methodology, material flow, and warehouse zoning. - Plan racking systems, storage bins, material handling equipment, and identification systems. - Define and implement SOPs, work instructions, and inventory control processes. - Coordinate with project, procurement, engineering, and contractors during plant construction and commissioning. Inventory & Warehouse Management - Ensure accurate receipt, inspection, storage, preservation, and issue of materials. - Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess inventory. - Monitor inventory ageing, slow-moving, obsolete, and non-moving materials. - Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation with ERP records. - Ensure FIFO/FEFO implementation wherever applicable. Material Planning & Coordination - Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Production, QA, Maintenance, and Project teams for uninterrupted material availability. - Ensure timely inward and outward movement of materials. - Monitor project material consumption and maintain complete traceability. ERP & Documentation - Implement and maintain ERP-based inventory management. - Ensure accurate GRN, material issue, stock transfer, return, and inventory transactions. - Generate MIS reports related to inventory, stock valuation, consumption, and warehouse performance. - Maintain complete documentation for audits and statutory requirements. Team Management - Build and lead the stores team during project execution and plant operations. - Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance. - Conduct regular training on warehouse safety, ERP processes, and inventory management. Compliance & Safety - Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and internal audit requirements. - Maintain proper housekeeping using 5S principles. - Ensure safe storage of hazardous, electrical, mechanical, and critical spare materials. - Support internal, external, and statutory audits. Continuous Improvement - Drive warehouse automation and process improvements. - Optimize warehouse space utilization and material handling efficiency. - Develop KPIs for inventory accuracy, material availability, inventory turnover, and warehouse productivity. - Implement Lean Warehouse and Kaizen initiatives. **Preferred candidate profile** - Successful setup of Greenfield stores before plant commissioning. - 100% inventory accuracy through robust inventory control systems. - Timely availability of project and production materials. - Reduction in inventory carrying costs and ageing stock. - Compliance with ERP processes and audit requirements. - Efficient warehouse space utilization. - Zero material loss due to improper storage or handling. - High standards of safety and housekeeping.
