Job description

**Description** – **Requirements** Job Description **Requirements** Wireless Domain Expertise: – Strong understanding of 3GPP specifications (LTE & 5G NR) and O-RAN architecture. – Deep knowledge of 4G/5G Layer 2 features (MAC, RLC, PDCP) and radio resource management. – Mastery of End-to-End Call Flows: Initial Access (RACH), Registration, PDU Session Establishment, Handover (X2/Xn), and Release. – Experience specifically in RAN Capacity and Performance testing. Proven ability to interpret System Design docs and convert them into actionable test scenarios. Tools & Equipment: – Hands-on experience with multi-vendor UE Simulators (e.g., TM500) and O-RU Simulators. – Proficiency with protocol analyzers (e.g., Wireshark) and internal log parsing tools. – Experience with Linux-based test environments. **Preferred Qualifications** – Experience writing test plans for feature validation, regression, and KPI benchmarking. – Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA) and CI/CD pipelines. – Experience with Python or Bash scripting for test automation. – Familiarity with Virtualized RAN (vRAN) and containerized environments (Kubernetes/Docker). – Prior experience supporting field trials or carrier acceptance testing. – Strong technical writing skills for creating Test Strategy, Test Plan, and detailed Performance Analysis reports. – Experience in a customer-facing role or supporting field trials. – Excellent communication, presentation and inter-perosnal skills Key Responsibilities - Test Strategy & Planning: – Review Requirement specifications, Feature Design Documents and translate them into comprehensive Test Strategy and Test Plan documents. – Define acceptance criteria for functional, performance, capacity and system-level test cases - 2. Integration & Execution: – Perform End-to-End (E2E) integration testing, validating the interface between CU, DU, and RU. – Execute functional testing in close collaboration with the development team to catch issues early in the cycle. – Conduct rigorous System Testing under load and stress conditions. – Execute complex load scenarios to validate Cell Capacity (max active UEs) and Data Plane Performance (UDP/TCP throughput). – Conduct Latency Analysis and Control Plane performance testing - Lab & Equipment Management: – Manage and troubleshoot complex test setups in both conducted and OTA (Over-the-Air) environments. – Configure and operate industry-standard test equipment, including UE Simulators (e.g., Keysight, Viavi, Spirent) and RU Simulators. - Debugging & Triage: – Perform first-level log analysis (L1/L2 logs) to isolate issues between the UE, RAN, and Core. – Monitor field defects, lead the triage process, and collaborate with Systems and Dev teams to drive resolutions.
