• Basic Testing Concepts: • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC). • Familiarity with different types of testing, such as unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). • Knowledge of testing methodologies like black-box, white-box, and grey-box testing. • Test Case Development: • Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test plans. • Experience with creating and executing test scenarios. • Defect Tracking: • Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Trello. • Skills in logging, tracking, and managing defects throughout the testing process. • Analytical Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and understand issues in software products. • Ability to think critically and work systematically. • Attention to Detail: • A keen eye for detail to spot even the smallest issues or discrepancies in software behavior. • Communication Skills: • Good verbal and written communication to effectively document and report bugs. • Ability to collaborate with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
