Customer Data Platform (CDP) Specialist (amperity CDP tool) In the technology and marketing sectors, a CDP Specialist is a data-driven professional who manages the software used to unify customer data from various touchpoints into a single, comprehensive "golden record." Core Responsibilities: Data Integration: Managing the flow of data from sources like CRM, websites, apps, and billing systems into the CDP. Identity Resolution: Implementing matching rules (deterministic/probabilistic) to deduplicate customer profiles. Segmentation: Building audience segments for marketing campaigns and personalization. Activation: Orchestrating data to downstream platforms (email service providers, ad platforms, etc.). Governance & Compliance: Ensuring data practices align with regulations like POPIA or GDPR. Key Skills: Experience with specific platforms (e.g., SAP CDP, Salesforce CDP, Segment, Tealium). Understanding of APIs, data modeling, and SQL. Background in marketing automation or digital transformation. Ideal Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Marketing with 3+ years of experience in MarTech or data engineering.1.
