**Job DescriptionManager – EHSQualification** - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) or relevant discipline – Mandatory - Diploma / Certification in Industrial Safety / Construction Safety from a recognized institute preferred **Experience** - 8 – 12 years of experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) in construction projects, preferably high-rise residential or commercial buildings **Job Location** - Project Site **Role Overview** The Manager – EHS will be responsible for **implementing and monitoring Environment, Health & Safety practices at construction project sites** . The role involves ensuring compliance with **statutory safety regulations, company safety policies, and industry best practices** while promoting a strong safety culture among employees, subcontractors, and labour teams. The candidate will lead the **site safety team, supervise safety officers and supervisors, and coordinate with project management to ensure safe execution of construction activities** . **Key Responsibilities** **Site Safety Management** - Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and safety standards at the project site. - Ensure safe execution of construction activities including structural works, formwork, reinforcement, finishing, and MEP installations. - Conduct regular site safety inspections and safety audits. **Hazard Identification & Risk Control** - Identify potential hazards and unsafe conditions across construction activities. - Ensure preparation and implementation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessments, and method statements. - Implement corrective and preventive measures to reduce safety risks. **Supervision of Safety Team** - Supervise Safety Officers, Safety Engineers, and Safety Supervisors at site. - Guide safety staff in implementation of safety procedures and monitoring of site activities. - Ensure proper deployment of safety personnel across work fronts. **Safety Training & Awareness** - Conduct safety training programs and awareness sessions for employees, staff, and workers. - Ensure regular toolbox talks and safety briefings at site. - Promote safety awareness among contractors and labour teams. **Incident Investigation** - Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses at site. - Identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions. - Maintain proper incident reports and safety documentation. **Contractor Safety Management** - Monitor safety performance of subcontractors and vendors. - Ensure subcontractors follow site safety guidelines and statutory safety requirements. - Participate in contractor safety meetings and coordination discussions. **Environmental Compliance** - Monitor environmental management practices such as waste disposal, dust control, and pollution prevention. - Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability guidelines at site. **Documentation & Reporting** - Maintain records of safety inspections, safety training, incident reports, and statutory compliance. - Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports for project management. - Track safety performance indicators and improvement measures. **Technical Skills Required** - Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and standards - Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety audits - Knowledge of construction activities and associated safety risks - Familiarity with incident investigation procedures - Proficiency in MS Excel and safety reporting tools **Preferred Skills** - Strong leadership and team supervision skills - Excellent communication and training abilities - Ability to enforce strict safety compliance across construction activities - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
