Job description

The Planning Incharge will be responsible for **project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress control** for construction projects. The role involves preparing **baseline schedules, monitoring project progress, coordinating with site teams, and ensuring timely completion of project milestones** while maintaining cost and resource efficiency. **Key Responsibilities** **Project Planning & Scheduling** - Prepare detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. - Develop baseline schedules, WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), and project timelines. - Identify critical path activities and monitor schedule risks. **Progress Monitoring** - Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress against baseline plans. - Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and progress presentations for management review. - Conduct delay analysis and recovery planning. **Coordination** - Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, and subcontract teams to ensure alignment with the project schedule. - Participate in project review meetings and planning discussions. **Resource & Cost Planning** - Assist in resource loading, manpower planning, and equipment planning. - Support cost monitoring and productivity analysis in coordination with project controls. **Reporting** - Prepare weekly/monthly planning reports. - Maintain look-ahead schedules (2-week / 3-week plans). - Update project schedules and provide early warnings for potential delays. **Risk & Delay Management** - Identify potential schedule risks and mitigation plans. - Support preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) and claim documentation when required. **Required Qualifications** **Education** - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / M.Tech in Construction Management **Experience** - 5–12 years of experience in project planning and scheduling in high rise residential construction projects. **Technical Skills** - Strong working knowledge of: - Primavera P6 - Microsoft Project - Microsoft Excel (advanced reporting) - Knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing. - Understanding of EVM (Earned Value Management) is preferred.
