Mechanical Design Engineer

**Job Requirements** We are seeking a detail-oriented Design Engineer with 1 to 4 years of experience in the Oil and Gas domain. You will design, develop, and modify mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks. A strong foundation in engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is required **Key Responsibilities** - 3D Modeling: Create detailed 3D parts and large assemblies in SolidWorks. - Drawing Creation: Generate accurate 2D manufacturing and fabrication drawings. - Standard Compliance: Apply Oil and Gas industry standards (API, ASME, ANSI) to designs. - GD&T Application: Implement Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing to ensure proper fit and function. - Design Verification: Conduct basic tolerance stack-up analysis and engineering calculations. - Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to resolve design issues. - EWR Management: Handle Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and update existing design documentation. **Work Experience** - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. - Domain Expertise: 1 to 4 years of design experience specifically within the Oil and Gas sector. - Software Proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience using SolidWorks for modeling and drafting. - Drawing Reading: Strong ability to interpret complex mechanical and structural fabrication drawings. - GD&T Knowledge: Solid understanding of ASME Y14.5 dimensions, tolerances, and symbols. - Material Knowledge: Basic understanding of materials, coatings, and manufacturing processes used in oilfield equipment
