**Job Requirements** **Primary Responsibilities** - Investigate production equipment solutions and develop new or modify existing equipment designs - Create and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and design documentation - Design, develop and implement mechanical equipment and tools, layouts and simulation models - Develop and maintain standards within the virtual area - Coordinate with manufacturing, production, quality and ergonomics team for tool development activities and input collection. - Contact with suppliers on digital model issues, manufacturability of tools and other requirements collection and align with the same. **Authorities** - Escalate problems to team leaders and project managers - Plans and performs own tasks - Follow up and control work performed by suppliers **Work Experience** **Requirements:** Education and experience - Diploma with Tool Design / B.Tech in Mechanical Engg. - 8+ years of Tool design experience from the manufacturing industry. - Work exposure in BIW is an advantage. - Good knowledge and In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, welding, Drilling & Lean Manufacturing Principles. - Good knowledge of Manufacturing and Assembly Process. - Good understanding of Engineering Drawing reading, Drawing and detailing standards. - Good knowledge and skills in digital tools (CATIA/3DX/Process Simulate) in the Virtual area. - Hands-on experience in at least one PLM software (Windchill Preferred) Skills and Competence: - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Indepth knowledge of Tooling design principles, GD&T & DFM Principles. - Planning and estimation skills. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
