Job Description MES GE DeveloperLocation: [Specify]Experience: 68 yearsDomain: Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) / GE Vernova Plant Applications Role Overview We are seeking an experienced MES professional with deep expertise in GE Vernova Plant Applications (formerly GE Digital) to lead design, implementation, and support activities across global manufacturing operations. The role requires strong functional knowledge of manufacturing processes and technical proficiency in MES integration, ensuring seamless deployment and optimization of Plant Apps in discrete or process industries. Key Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end MES/Plant Applications deployments including requirements gathering, design, configuration, and rollout. - Map manufacturing processes to Plant Apps modules (Production, Quality, Efficiency, and SPC). - Define KPIs, reports, and dashboards for real-time shop-floor visibility. - Technical Leadership: Configure Plant Apps (Production Tracking, OEE, Downtime, Quality, SPC) to meet plant requirements. - Design and implement integrations with ERP (SAP, Oracle, Infor), PLC/SCADA, and historians. - Lead system upgrades and migration to the latest Plant Applications versions. - Manufacturing Operations Support: Provide L3/L4 support for MES operations across multiple plants. - Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and ensure system reliability. - Develop SOPs, documentation, and training material for plant users. - Team Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, IT/OT, Quality, Supply Chain). - Guide junior consultants and offshore teams in MES development and support. - Interact with business stakeholders to align MES strategy with operational goals. Required Skills Experience - MES Expertise: 68 years of hands-on experience with GE Vernova Plant Applications (Prod Mgmt, Quality, Efficiency, SPC, WIP, Integration). - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, KPIs (OEE, Throughput, Downtime), and digital shop-floor operations. - Technical Skills: Experience in Plant Apps configuration, scripting (VB, SQL, C# preferred). - Hands-on with Oracle/SQL Server, reporting tools, and data modeling. - Familiarity with industrial protocols (OPC, Modbus, Profinet) and SCADA/DCS systems. - Integration Knowledge: ERP-MES integration (SAP PP/QM/PM, Oracle, Infor LN). - Interfaces with PLCs, historians (GE Proficy, PI), and automation systems. - Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills. - Ability to work in global delivery models and manage multi-site rollouts. - Leadership skills to mentor teams and manage stakeholders effectively. Good to Have - Exposure to cloud-based MES or GE Digital APM/Predix platforms. - Knowledge of Industry 4.0, IIoT, and Digital Twin initiatives. - Project management certifications (PMP/PRINCE2) or MES certifications.
