**Role & responsibilities** Job Title: MicroServices Designer Experience: 6+ Location: Hyderabad, Mumbai **Role Overview** A Microservices Designer is responsible for designing scalable, loosely coupled, and high-performance distributed systems using microservices architecture. The role focuses on defining service boundaries, ensuring system resiliency, and enabling seamless integration between services. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and architect **microservices-based solutions** aligned with business and technical requirements - Define **service boundaries, APIs, and communication patterns** (REST, gRPC, messaging) - Develop **high-level and low-level architecture designs** - Ensure system design follows **scalability, resilience, security, and performance best practices** - Implement and guide adoption of **cloud-native architectures** (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Work closely with development teams to ensure correct implementation of designs - Design **event-driven architectures** using tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems - Establish **API gateways, service discovery, and load balancing strategies** - Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and containerization - Define **data management strategies** (database per service, eventual consistency, CQRS) - Ensure **monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks** are implemented - Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership **Required Skills & Qualifications** - Strong experience in **microservices architecture and distributed systems design** - Expertise in **API design and integration patterns** - Hands-on experience with **programming languages** such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go - Knowledge of **containerization tools** like Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes - Understanding of **cloud platforms** (AWS / Azure / GCP) - Experience with **message queues and event streaming platforms** - Strong understanding of **security practices** (OAuth2, JWT, API security) - Knowledge of **design patterns** (Saga, Circuit Breaker, Strangler Pattern, etc.) **Preferred Skills** - Experience with **Service Mesh (Istio, Linkerd)** - Exposure to **serverless architecture** - Familiarity with **DevOps tools** (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform) - Knowledge of **observability tools** (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) - Experience with **domain-driven design (DDD)** **Experience Required** - Typically **512 years** in software development, with **3+ years in microservices architecture/design** **Education** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field **Key Competencies** - Strong analytical and system design skills - Problem-solving and decision-making ability - Excellent communication and stakeholder management - Leadership and mentoring capabilities - Ability to work in agile environments **Preferred candidate profile**
