Job description

**Role Summary** Talend Developer with strong hands-on experience in Talend-based migration projects.  The role involves migrating Talend Enterprise (DI jobs, ESB routes, and Data Services flows) to Talend 6.x and Talend 8.x modern integration solutions The candidate should have solid expertise in Talend flows, components, and data integration patterns. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Develop, test, deploy process using Talend. 2. Transform data using Talend components like tMap, tJoin, and custom routines 3. Perform unit testing and support integration testing 4. Debug and resolve issues in Talend jobs and integration flows 5. Perform impact analysis and identify deprecated components 6. Ensure job, context, repository, and metadata compatibility post upgrade 7. Conduct regression testing and performance validation 8. Promote jobs across environments using CI/CD pipelines or manual migration 9. Deploy jobs to Talend Runtime or Talend Admin Center (TAC) 10. Validate dependencies (subjobs, routines, metadata) before deployment 11. Document upgrade procedures and best practices **Required Skills** 1. 5+ years of Talend experience (DI/ESB/Cloud) 2. Strong hands-on experience in Talend Data Integration and ESB 3. Knowledge of handling JSON, XML, and flat file data formats 4. Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (joins, indexing, query optimization) 5. Experience with databases like Oracle Database, MySQL, or SQL Server 6. Experience in writing custom Java code (Talend routines, tJava, tJavaRow) 7. Experience with REST and SOAP APIs integration 8. Experience with job scheduling and orchestration (TAC, cron, Control-M) 9. Ability to understand business requirements and translate into ETL and ESB logic 10. Communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams **Preferred** 1. Experience with Talend Data Fabric / Talend Cloud 2. Linux/Unix and scripting knowledge 3. Exposure to largescale environments **Nice to Have** 1. Handling legacy upgrades (Talend 5.x/6.x) 2. Dependency (JAR) conflict resolution 3. Performance tuning post upgrade
