Job description

**Experience:** 8-13 Years **Location:** Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Noida **Key Responsibilities:** - Install, configure, administer, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments (2012/2014/2016/2017/2019). - Perform SQL Server upgrades, patching, service pack installations, cumulative updates, and security updates. - Manage database backup, recovery, and maintenance activities. - Design, implement, and validate High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) solutions. - Configure and support Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Database Mirroring, Clustering, and Replication. - Perform database refreshes and migrations across development, testing, and production environments. - Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues including blocking, deadlocks, index fragmentation, and high CPU-consuming queries. - Utilize DMVs, DBCC commands, SQL Profiler, DTA, PerfMon, and SSMS for performance analysis and optimization. - Manage SQL Server capacity planning, storage optimization, and archival strategies. - Develop and maintain SQL Server standards, security guidelines, and best practices. - Support Azure-based database environments and cloud database administration activities. - Participate in database migration and modernization projects. - Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure database reliability and performance. **Required Skills:** - Strong experience as MS SQL Server DBA - Hands-on experience with SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017/2019 - Expertise in Performance Tuning and Query Optimization - Experience with Always On Availability Groups - Strong knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) - Experience with Replication, Log Shipping, Database Mirroring, and Clustering - Hands-on experience with Backup, Restore, and Recovery Strategies - Knowledge of DMVs, DBCC Commands, SQL Profiler, PerfMon, and SSMS - Strong T-SQL scripting skills - Experience supporting databases hosted on Azure
