**Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)** **Must-Have** - Good understanding of design, implementation and troubleshooting for Veritas Netbackup - In-depth understanding of day-day backup administration tasks such as management and monitoring of jobs, reporting, escalation of failed jobs, scheduling adhoc backups, capacity utilization, maintaining audit trails etc - Manage and maintain the backup systems - Experience with deduplication storage systems, with Data Domain is a must - Should be able to co-ordinate with respective OEMs to ensure SLAs and during break fix - Performing emergency data and system recovery from backups for Linux, Unix, Virtual, and Windows servers - Provide 24x7 IT operations support in a team on a rotation and on-call basis - Should be proficient in handling large and heterogeneous setup with knowledge on troubleshooting of issues - Should possess good communication skills **Good to have** - Certification in any of the above backup technologies
