Job Description: Key Responsibilities The Network L3 Administrator is responsible for advanced management, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure. This includes switches, routers, firewalls, WAN/LAN links, and related technologies. The role requires deep expertise in networking, strong problem solving skills, and the ability to resolve complex issues independently while supporting enterprise scale deployments. Key Responsibilities - Manage and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, WAN/LAN links). - Provide L3 support for escalated incidents, ensuring timely resolution of complex network issues. - Configure and optimize routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and switching technologies (VLANs, STP, trunking). - Administer and secure firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point). - Perform patching, upgrades, and configuration management across network devices. - Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and bandwidth optimization. - Implement network security policies, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems. - Designing high level network architecture installing hardware and migrating sites to SD-WAN - Setting up overlay tunnels, application aware routing, and optimizing traffic policies. - Integrating SD-WAN with security solutions (SASE. Zscaler, Fortinet) to secure WAN Edges. - Automate routine tasks using Python, Ansible, or other scripting tools. - Collaborate with infrastructure, server, and security teams to ensure seamless delivery of network services. - Lead root cause analysis for critical incidents and document resolutions. - Maintain knowledge base and documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides. **Required Skills & Experience** - 7–12 years of experience in network administration with strong L3 expertise. - Hands on experience with Cisco, Juniper, HP, or Arista switches and routers. - Strong knowledge of firewall administration (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point). - Expertise in routing protocols, switching technologies, and WAN optimization. - Experience with VPNs, MPLS, SD WAN, and load balancers. - Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG). - Proficiency in network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible). - Solid understanding of network security, IDS/IPS, and compliance standards. - Ability to lead critical incident resolution and mentor junior administrators. **Preferred Qualifications** - Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, PCNSE, NSE, CISSP (for security focus). - Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Exposure to SDN (Software Defined Networking) and network virtualization (NSX, ACI). - Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
