Network Operations (Juniper) **Key Responsibilities** Technical Leadership & Network Operations. - Lead and guide the team in troubleshooting, configuring, and optimizing Juniper switches, routers, firewalls, and SD-WAN solutions. - Oversee firmware upgrades, network migrations, L2/L3 architecture design, routing policies, and performance tuning. - Provide hands-on support and direction for root cause analysis (RCA) of high-impact incidents involving Juniper infrastructure. - Ensure adherence to network architecture standards, best practices, and security baselines. 247 Operations Management - Manage a round-the-clock operations team, ensuring smooth shift handovers and uninterrupted service delivery. - Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of mission-critical network environments. - Prioritize and assign tickets, monitor queues, and ensure SLA adherence across all shifts. - Drive proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and infrastructure health checks. **Incident, Change & Problem Management** • Act as the primary escalation point for P1/P2 incidents, ensuring timely resolution and coordination across teams. • Lead Major Incident Management (MIM) calls and drive service restoration. • Ensure compliance with change management processes, including impact assessment, approvals, and CAB governance. • Drive problem management initiatives, ensuring RCA closure and implementation of preventive measures. **People & Stakeholder Management** - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technical team, including performance management and skill enhancement. - Collaborate with customers, service owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure service excellence. - Provide regular updates to leadership on service health, operational risks, and performance metrics. **Project & Delivery Management** • Plan and execute network upgrade projects, capacity expansions, new site onboarding, and transformation initiatives. • Manage timelines, risks, resources, and documentation for all network-related programs. • Ensure alignment with business objectives, compliance standards, and security requirements. **Required Skills & Experience Technical Expertise** • Strong hands-on experience with Juniper EX/QFX series and Junos OS. • In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), switching, VLANs, LACP, and SD-WAN. • Experience managing large-scale enterprise or data center networks. • Solid understanding of network security concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and routing policy frameworks. **Operational Competence** • Proven experience managing 247 NOC or mission-critical network operations environments. • Strong exposure to Incident, Change, and Problem Management frameworks (ITIL-based). • Experience in SLA-driven managed services environments.
