Network Operations Engineer

Job description

**Key Skills:** BGP, Network Engineer, Network Security, VLAN, OSPF, Layer2, SDN, Layer 3, VPN, Firewall **Roles and Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and troubleshoot VLAN-based network segmentation and connectivity across network domains. - Own dynamic routing operations using BGP and OSPF, including route validation, policy behavior, and convergence analysis. - Provide network security guidance and support for secure traffic flows, including firewall and VPN connectivity troubleshooting. - Collaborate with engineering teams to plan network changes, perform impact analysis, and execute controlled rollouts. - Diagnose and resolve production network incidents using logs, packet captures, and routing/forwarding verification. **Skills Required:** - 8 - 13 years of relevant experience in enterprise network engineering and routing/security operations. - VLAN configuration and troubleshooting for segmentation and end-to-end connectivity. - BGP and OSPF routing protocol expertise, including route propagation and convergence validation. - Network security fundamentals with experience supporting secure connectivity patterns. - Hands-on network engineering experience delivering and maintaining enterprise network services. Good to Have: - Layer2 and Layer 3 networking experience for advanced switching/routing scenarios. - SDN exposure for programmable networking and automation concepts. - Firewall and VPN experience for securing traffic and remote/site connectivity. **Education:** B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M. Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineer, or Electronic & Telecom.
