Job Title: General Practitioner Assistant/Nurse Job Overview: Were looking for a highly competent and well-organized professional who values safety, security and patient wellness above all else. Working alongside medical professionals, you will deliver high-quality nursing care to patients across the lifespan, addressing a wide range of acute and chronic health needs. Your role will involve clinical assessment, treatment, health promo on, and patient education, contributing to the overall health and well-being of individuals and communities. Key Responsibilities: Patient Support: • Greet and assist patients, manage appointments, and maintain pa ent records. • Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for medical procedures or examinations, assist the patient with minor cuts and injuries. Administrative Support: • Manage the reception area, handle phone calls, and respond to inquiries from patients or other healthcare professionals. • Maintain electronic health records (EHRs) accurately and confidentially. • Assist in billing procedures, insurance claims, and administrative tasks as required. Clinical Assessment and Nursing Care: • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and medical history reviews. • Perform diagnostic procedures, such as blood pressure monitoring, wound care, and specimen collection for laboratory analysis. • Administer vaccinations, medications, and other prescribed treatments under the supervision of medical practitioners. • Monitor patients' condition, document observations, and escalate concerns to healthcare providers as necessary. Patient Education and Counselling: • Offer individualized patient education on health-related topics, treatment plans, medica on usage, and adherence to medical recommendations. • Address patient concerns, questions, and misconceptions about their health conditions, medications, and treatment options. • Empower patients to make informed decisions about their health and well-being, fostering autonomy and selfefficacy in managing their healthcare needs. Clinical Documentation and Record Keeping: • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including electronic medical records (EMR), nursing notes, care plans, and medica on charts. • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for healthcare documentation, privacy, and confidentiality of patient information. • Collaborate with administrative staff to organize patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care, opmizing workflow efficiency and patient satisfaction. Emergency Response: Assisting in emergency situations by providing immediate care, stabilizing patients, and facilitating their transfer to specialized care if needed. Facility Maintenance: • Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, waiting areas, and other patient areas. • Stock and manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment. Team Collaboration: • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient practice operations. • Follow protocols and procedures established by the practice or clinic. Qualifications and Skills: South Indian language speaking is essential (Malayalam Tamil , Kannada, Telegu ) • B.Sc. Nursing (General Nursing) or Diploma in Nursing; additional certification or training in healthcare assistance is a plus. • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare se ng preferred. • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHRs) and basic computer skills. • Strong communica on and interpersonal skills to interact effec vely with patients and medical staff. • Ability to multitask, prioritize duties, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures. Working Conditions: The schedule may include regular office hours with occasional evenings or weekends for on-call duties.
