**Job Title:** OBIEE/OAS Business Analyst **Department** : ISPL FRS **About Business line/Function:** Under BNP Paribas IT Group, FRS is the IT framework encompassing Projects & Systems of **F** inance and **R** ISK functions, with a strong focus on efficiency, proximity, agility and time-to-market. FRS is a worldwide organizational model that will contribute to tackle major challenges of the Group’s transformation of today and tomorrow, building the best offering to the Finance and Risk Community through a progressive rotation to new technologies and best practices. The FRS organization is the outcome of several convergences: between the Project & Systems teams of Group Finance, CIB Finance and RISK and their related IT teams. FRS is part of the IT Group organization (ITG in Europe and ITO overseas) with threefold sponsorship by ITG, Finance and RISK (CIB-ITO; RISK Solutions and ITG-FIT) **Position Purpose:** The business analyst will be a part of the ISPL Mumbai – OBIEE/OAS (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) projects team and will primarily work on Regulatory / Financial Reporting / Credit Risk reporting Projects. ****Responsibilities**** Direct Responsibilities The Business Analyst Has Broad-based Responsibilities For The Functional Design, Specification And Deployment Of Finance Systems At Both a Legal Entity And IHC Level. This Includes: - Perform daily reconciliation and controls on financial data/reports and analyze the breaks and provide the root cause - Elicit, analyze, and document Business/Functional requirements and procedure documents. - Undertake data assessment, data gap analysis and remediation. - Develop functional specification requirements for IT development and to ensure user requirements are met. - Plan, test and document UAT/System/Integration testing up to successful delivery of project. - Change & Release Management. - Prepare the slides for regular Management meetings and present the same. - Managing the data load for testing the data in each release. - Co-ordinate with the stakeholders on sign off and approval of User/Business requirement, Test cases and Test results. - Update the Jira Tracker as the new change requests are created. - Update the Test cases, Test Evidence in HP ALM/JIRA during the testing phase. - Deliver projects within agreed timeframe and managing issues and timely escalations. - Ensure on-time quality delivery of projects and activities assigned. - Contribute to the design and implementation of processes that aim to improve the Finance Systems framework. - SQL knowledge will be added advantage. - The role involves performing root cause analysis on CHANGE the BANK and RUN the BANK projects Contributing Responsibilities - Provide solutions to complex problem. - Coordination internally in the team on projects, KPI’s and controls. - Work closely in a “one team” approach with all stakeholders, jointly providing high quality deliverables Mentoring the team with functional domain knowledge. **Technical & Behavioral Competencies** ****Experience** :** - 3-6 Years of experience. **Data Analyst** - Ability to source, transform and analyze large data sets. - Experience in reconciliation and tracing data elements through transformation processes is critical. - Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, manage short term and permanent fixes - Record experiences and developing operating procedures. ****Business Analytical Skills**** - Eliciting user requirements and transforming them to functional specifications/Change requirements. - Preparing business test cases. - Liaising with development team on the production queries & enhancements. - Managing testing and deployment. - Experience with software development life cycle & implementation - Develop processes combining applications & people interactions ****Technical Skills**** - Ability to work with large data sets in MS Excel and corresponding tools and formulae like pivots, lookups etc. - Understand database concepts – tables, master & referential data, building primary keys etc. - SQL Skills required. - Knowledge/experience of: Oracle applications (OFSAA, OBIEE) will be an added advantage - BI tools like Tableau and Power BI skills are not mandatory but preferable. **Behavioral Competencies** - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Conduct meetings with global stakeholders, prepare minutes & summaries. - Assertiveness, Negotiation, Proactiveness & Prioritization skills are important. - Discipline in documenting, following up on issues and changes. - Experience in interacting with global stakeholders and independently managing discussions. ****Specific Qualifications:**** **Skills Referential** **(** **Required knowledge, skills and abilities)** ****Technical Skills:**** - SQL - Advanced MS Excel - Data Analysis - Database Concepts (tables, master & referential data, building primary keys) - BI experience of any of the reporting tools (PBI, Tableau , SAP-BO etc) - Former experiences within a Finance function in Banking and Financial Services or Capital Market domain ****Behavioral Skills:**** - Communication skills - oral & written - Ability to synthetize / simplify - Attention to detail / rigor - Organizational skills **Education Level:** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent **Location:** Mumbai /Chennai ****About BNP Paribas Group:**** BNP Paribas is the European Union’s leading bank and key player in international banking.
