Okta Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **Okta Subject Matter Expert (SME)** with strong expertise in **Identity & Access Management (IAM)** to design, implement, and support enterprise identity solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in **Okta Administration, SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, SCIM provisioning, Identity Governance, and application integrations** across cloud and on-premises environments. The candidate will work closely with Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant IAM solutions. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and administer enterprise Okta Identity Cloud solutions. - Configure and manage **Single Sign-On (SSO)**, **Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)**, and **Adaptive Authentication**. - Configure application onboarding, federation, and provisioning using **SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SCIM**. - Develop and maintain **Okta Workflows**, automation, and identity lifecycle processes. - Configure and manage **Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)** and access policies. - Integrate Okta with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, HR systems, SaaS applications, and other enterprise platforms. - Perform user provisioning, de-provisioning, lifecycle management, and identity synchronization. - Support Identity Governance initiatives, access reviews, certification campaigns, and compliance requirements. - Troubleshoot complex authentication, provisioning, and federation issues. - Develop automation using PowerShell, REST APIs, or scripting. - Create HLD, LLD, SOPs, and technical documentation. - Work closely with security teams to implement Zero Trust, Conditional Access, and identity security best practices. - Provide L3 production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and platform optimization. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders. Required Experience - 8+ years of overall IAM experience. - Minimum 45 years of hands-on experience with Okta. - Experience implementing enterprise SSO, MFA, provisioning, and federation. - Strong experience integrating enterprise applications using SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM. - Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID integration. - Experience with Identity Governance and access lifecycle management. - Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills. Good to Have - Okta Certified Professional/Administrator/Consultant certification. - Microsoft SC-300 or SC-100 certification. - SailPoint or CyberArk certifications. - Experience in large enterprise or global delivery environments.
