On Premise DevOps Engineer

**Location**: Belapur (Navi Mumbai) **Role** : DevOps On premise (CI/Cd and Gitlab) **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment in on-prem environments - Manage and support on-prem infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networks - Automate deployment, monitoring, and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef - Work with development and QA teams to streamline release cycles and improve deployment efficiency - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability - Manage and maintain version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, etc.) - Implement logging and monitoring solutions (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) - Ensure security, compliance, and patch management for infrastructure systems - Support containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes on-prem clusters) - Optimize resource utilization and capacity planning in data center environments **Required Skills & Expertise** **Core Technologies:** - Strong experience with Linux/Unix administration - Hands-on experience with on-prem data center environments - CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo - Configuration management tools: Ansible / Chef / Puppet - Containerization: Docker - Orchestration: Kubernetes (on-prem setup preferred) **Infrastructure & Networking:** - Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls) - Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) - Storage and backup solutions **Monitoring & Logging:** - Tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Nagios, Zabbix **Scripting & Automation:** - Proficiency in scripting languages: Shell, Python, Bash **Key Differentiator (On-Prem Focus)** Unlike cloud DevOps roles, this role requires: - Direct management of physical infrastructure and data centers - Strong understanding of hardware, virtualization, and networking layers - Experience in restricted / secure enterprise environments
