We also offer systematic alpha and alternative strategies to complement clients' core holdings.This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.ABOUT THE TEAMThe operations department consists of a team of professionals that focuses on the overall operations of Parametric. This group ensures the production process is complete from start to finish and lines up with the goals and functions of other departments within the firm. Examples include supervising, organizing and completing daily production, measuring and evaluating daily workload, and providing services to ensure the business runs as smoothly and effectively as possible.THE ROLESeeking an experienced Trade Settlement Associate with 3-6 years of experience to be a part of operations team. The ideal candidate would have experience in a fast-paced environment working with the settlement of a high volume of trades (domestic and global) to ensure the timely settlement of Parametric's trade activity, reporting and other duties as assigned. We are looking for a self-starter with proven leadership skills as well as keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines. This person will have a deeper understanding of the whys behind processes as well as be able to recommend improvements to aid daily workload.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Ability to self-manage in a high volume, fast-paced environment with strict deadlines • Responsible for the entire process of post trade processes, including transmission of trades to counterparties, matching/confirmation/affirmation of trades, resolution of exceptions • Support supervisor on higher level tasks; act as a secondary reviewer for high risk activities • Act as an escalation contact as well as provide advisement to staff on unresolved or escalated activities • Maintain day-to-day relationships with a wide range of brokers, custodians and vendors • Assisting in the automation of the settlements process • Record Keeping/Maintenance of Client/Broker records and files • Ability to manage high volume of trades, accounts, counterparties • Ability to manage appropriate escalation of issues • Support, mentor and train new team members • Perform daily and monthly audits as needed • Be a proxy for the Supervisor when the Supervisor is unavailable • Implement procedure improvement strategies with team when necessary • Improve task efficiency. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures. Create and maintain written procedures. • Manage long or short term projects JOB REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's (4yr) degree w/ concentration in Finance or Accounting • 3-6 years Trade Settlements experience; advanced industry experience may be reviewed in lieu of direct experience with Settlements • Excellent communication, teamwork and conflict resolution skills. • Strong attention to detail • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and effectively manage multiple tasks • Strong professional demeanor; ability to act as a proxy for supervisor appropriately • Proven leadership skills • Working knowledge of the settlements process and the lifecycle of a trade • Competent in Microsoft Office programs; strong Excel skills a must • Experience with VBA and Macros a plus • Knowledge of Omgeo Alert, CTM, TradeSuite/Match and SWIFT messaging or other relevant systems Parametric believes each member of our organization makes a significant contribution to our success.
