The Opportunity As an Operations Manager at Hitachi Energy India, you will lead and oversee the end‑to‑end operations of a unit. This includes production & testing, planning & procurement, facility maintenance, production engineering and warehouse management. You will play a pivotal role in driving growth and operational excellence, guided by the SQDIC framework (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost). How You’ll Make An Impact • Lead business ramp up initiatives to meet growing market demand. • Champion Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance across the unit. • Oversee execution of production, testing, facility maintenance, planning, procurement, production engineering and warehouse operations. • Implement best practices to drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and efficiency. • Optimize inventory levels and manage material processes from forecasting to consumption. • Collaborate with senior management to align operations with strategic goals and ensure customer satisfaction. • Build, lead, and inspire a high performing operations team. • Identify improvement opportunities, develop strong business cases, and implement changes to enhance speed, cost efficiency, and customer experience. • Lead cross functional projects, including CAPEX procurement and commissioning, to support growth and innovation. • Maximize resource allocation for operational efficiency. • Drive successful product transfers and support new product launches. • Guide and empower cross functional teams to achieve collective success. • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. • Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business Your background • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. • 12+ years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in Operations Management within a global manufacturing environment. • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Proven leadership experience in change and transformation management. • Expertise in process optimization and sustainable improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred). • Analytical, structured mindset with the ability to make data driven decisions. • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required Publication date : 2026-02-23
