**Job Title : Oracle DBA / Lead / Database Architect** Experience: **3–15 Years** Location : **Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Bangalore, Kolkata, Noida, Hyderabad** Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) / Lead / Database Architect to manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Oracle Database administration, backup and recovery, high availability, performance tuning, and database security. The role involves installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of enterprise database systems. Key Responsibilities - Install, configure, upgrade, and administer Oracle Database environments (11g, 12c, 19c, or later). - Manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN for high availability and disaster recovery. - Perform database backup, recovery, cloning, migration, and refresh activities. - Monitor database health, performance, storage utilization, and capacity planning. - Diagnose and resolve database performance issues through SQL and PL/SQL tuning. - Implement database security, user management, roles, privileges, and auditing. - Configure and maintain Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and administration. - Develop and execute database maintenance plans, patching, and upgrade strategies. - Troubleshoot database incidents and provide production support to ensure maximum uptime. - Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams for database deployment and optimization. - Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery plans. - Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and database best practices. - For senior candidates, lead database architecture, capacity planning, solution design, database modernization initiatives, and mentor junior DBAs. Required Skills - Strong experience with Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19c, or later versions. - Hands-on expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN. - Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and database replication. - Experience with SQL and PL/SQL for database administration and performance tuning. - Expertise in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) administration and monitoring. - Good understanding of database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization. - Experience working in Linux/Unix environments. - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Oracle Exadata, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or Autonomous Database. - Knowledge of database migration, automation, scripting (Shell, Python), and DevOps practices. - Familiarity with database security, encryption, auditing, and compliance standards. - Experience with high-availability architectures and enterprise database solutions. - Oracle Database Administration certifications are an added advantage. Educational Qualification - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred Candidate Profile - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. - Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing skills. - Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and decision-making abilities. - Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing skills. - Willingness to learn new Oracle technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
