ob Title: Senior Piping Designer Location: Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai Job Type: Full Time Industry: Oil & Gas / EPC Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Piping Designer with strong expertise in SP3D to support the design and layout of piping systems for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working in leading EPC firms such as Worley, KBR, Technip, or similar, and will play a key role in project execution from concept to detailed design. Key Responsibilities: - Develop 3D piping models using SP3D in compliance with project specifications. - Generate and review piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings. - Ensure clash-free designs by coordinating with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical). - Interpret P&IDs, piping specifications, and material classes. - Participate in model reviews and ensure design meets safety, accessibility, and maintenance requirements. - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and drafters. - Support site and construction teams with design clarifications when needed. Requirements: - Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. - 8+ years of experience in piping design, with at least 3+ years using SP3D. - Experience working on both onshore and offshore oil & gas projects. - Strong understanding of piping components, supports, and layout best practices. - Familiarity with international design codes and EPC work processes. - Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Experience: - Prior work experience with EPC firms like Worley, KBR, Technip, McDermott, Wood, or Petrofac. - Exposure to brownfield (revamp) projects and offshore platforms. - Knowledge of other design tools like MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Navisworks is a plus. **Roles and Responsibilities** We are looking for an experienced Senior Piping Designer with strong expertise in SP3D to support the design and layout of piping systems for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects.
